INDICES:

Stock index CFDs are financial instruments that represent the value of the underlying publicly-traded companies. One leading index is the S&P 500, which reflects the collective value of the top 500 companies listed on US stock exchanges. If the overall value of those companies’ shares rises, the price of the S&P 500 will go up.

There are also indices that represent smaller companies trading on the NYSE, such as Russell 2000 index, as well as indices for various stock exchanges around the world, from Chinese China A50, NIKKEI 225 to DAX 30 and AEX indice.

Expertpips selection of 20 Indices includes the most popular and frequently traded indices in the industry today.

S&P 500 – The value of the Standard & Poor 500 is based on the share prices of 500 leading US-based companies.

DJIA – The index is price weighted average of 30 of the most significant stocks that are traded on the NASDAQ and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

NASDAQ 100 – This index represents the value of 100 non-financial NASDAQ-traded companies.

FTSE 100 – The FTSE 100 is a collection of 100 of the largest publicly-traded UK companies.

DJ EURO STOXX 50 – Euro Stoxx 50 collects together 50 of the largest European companies’ share value.

An ETF is a collection of assets put together, to permit traders to trade in a few markets simultaneously. If you wish to invest in a stock, commodity and bonds all together we can simply trade in the ETF market for you.

STOCK:

When looking to invest in Stocks, there are different options that the average investor has. First, there’s the route of directly buying Stocks from a Stock broker. Here, one could incur substantial fees and commissions for having the broker facilitate your trade. This old way of investing goes back to the days when we would place an actual phone call to execute a trade. Not to mention the fact that some shares are really expensive, so you will need a lot of capital behind you to get started and have any kind of reasonable level of exposure to the markets.

Today, we have online Stock trading. Here, traders enjoy direct, independent access to the same global Stocks via online brokers, allowing them to take advantage of reduced costs, even when considering a range of fees and commissions for their trading activities.

  • COMMODITIES:

A commodity is a good used in business or on a market. Each commodity, when traded on an exchange, must meet standards and grades. They may each be slightly different, however, ultimately are the same amongst all producers. There are two different kinds of commodities, soft and hard:

Soft commodities – This refers to items that are grown as opposed to mined. For example, agricultural products such as sugar, corn, wheat, coffee and more. Produced by farmers, these instruments are highly sensitive to climate and weather changes, and have cyclical price patterns dictated by seasons.

Hard commodities – This refers to items that are mined, such as Gold trading, other precious metals, diamonds and oil, along with other energy products.
